THIS PLACE DOES NOT MISS A BEAT! I went in because I heard they are “the best burgers in Athens” ... they are. I ordered the Sloppy Ben to go and was surprised how CRISP my onion ring still was. I have been eating at The Pub for about a year now and pleased with how consistent they are. Best lunch place in Athens for sure :)
We enjoyed it. Something different. Food was good.would def eat again. Everyone is always so happy in Athens Ohio. Love it.

I ducked in three times while in town for the weekend. Fantastic service, the customers were friendly, the drinks were good cheap, and I was told the burgers were the best in town (didn't get the chance to try them tho..) Of the dozen or so bars I tried, this was my favorite!
Uptown bar in Athens, a good place to chill and enjoy a burger in the late afternoon. I ordered the steakburger. Really enjoyed it, as well as the fries. The picture doesn't do it justice in the colored and low lighting
My son and I eat here once a week or so, so that tells you something about how highly we think of this bar/restaurant. The service and food are always very good. The food and drink prices are very reasonable too. It's an older pub sort of feel, not a place where you would normally bring the family for Sunday brunch. But if you are in Athens, and you want a good burger or sandwich (some of the sandwiches are great), fries, chili, and/or beer cheese soup, look no further.
My wife went to school at Ohio University... and we were in town with 5 other friends for four days enjoying the local roads (on our motorcycles) and enjoying the town every afternoon and evening. A very welcoming local bar with great bartenders and great drink choices at great prices. We visited several times over the four days we were there. One visit we just had drinks. The next visit we ate lunch (GREAT burgers!!) and the next visit was so my wife could get beer cheese soup (one of her favorite food memories from college). Definitely going to be repeat customers!
Amazing food. It's a very clean place with extremely friendly staff. I love the vibe and aesthetic of the place it's not too much but not too little. They have a variety of selections to choose from to make your own mixed drink. They also have beer sales everyday with different beers for sale from 2 to 5. Not much of a top selection but definitely popular options on the few that they have. Definitely a great bar to stop by for food or to get a drink or on your Court Street crawl.
